Oh how I love love love this time of year. You can spend all day outside and not worry for a moment that you'll get heat stroke. You can have a shower, towel off and get dressed without feeling like you need to get back in the shower. AND You can cook. Oh how I have missed you. My drive to cook delicious meals for my family completely vanishes when the heat arrives. I can think of nothing I would like to do less. That includes the never ending laundry dance. I feel fresh again. Alive and like the air is actually worth breathing in.
I am painting again. The laundry area, the easy, don't have to move the appliances, part. It's blue. Then there are some roughed in shelves built into the wall and they are MAGENTA! R~ thinks they are too dark and it will be hard to find stuff. Bah. I'm gonna hang some pictures up too, but even now, without the ugly washed out mint green I like being down there more. The freezer still needs to come out from down there. Then storage shelves to go in and voila more organizational fun for me. *rubbing hands together with glee*
Next is the kitchen. The kitchen. It is daunting. So hard to protect the stuff that is in there so much effort to move it all out . . . and to where? So I'm just gonna tape drop clothes to the wall at the ceiling and hope for the best. Stupid GLOSSY ceiling. Gotta sand that sucker first. Then, much to the dismay of many that I know and love, I am painting the ceiling green. *more hand rubbing* The walls will stay an off white.
Once the kitchen is done, I think I will try and tackle the patio. The garden should be ready to be mulched over and more dirt can be added then. Dig a hole, tamp it down, pour in gravel, tamp it down, level gravel, apply pavers, fill cracks with . . . I dunno, sand or moss. Then the Oh and we wanted to paint the fence this year, and the trim of the house.
Then the fireplace comes down. Well I think if I get to all that before the snow flies I'm gonna take the rest of the winter off. That is unless I need an new washer or dryer, cos then those walls get painted before new ones go in. Or I am super board and feel the need to make an uber mess and sand down the front hall ceiling. Stupid electrician.
There is much to say, much more important things. Now that the kids are back in a schedule I can spend time there, in that place I love to hate to love to go . . . my mind.
*Bek Hugs*

Just me writing it down as it comes to me. Uncensored and barely edited, much to my husbands dismay. This is how my brain works, won't you come along for the ride. It might be fun.

A little something
Just got the job of Custodian at my church, and I wrote a little poem.
God's House
Here are the fingers to spray all the glass,
and wipe away finger prints little ones cast,
while cleaning this place called God's House.
Here are two hands to clean up the lou,
making it sparkle, all shiny and new,
while cleaning this place called God's House.
Here are my arms to sweep and mop floors,
under the pews and behind all the doors,
while cleaning this place called God's House.
Hear all the tunes which I hum and sing,
when running the vacuum around everything,
while cleaning this place called God's House.
Here are two legs marching up and down stairs,
setting up tables and stacking up chairs,
while cleaning this place called God's House.
Here is my body along with my soul,
to keep this place clean is my lofty goal,
Thank you for trusting in me with this role.
I'll keep clean this place called God's House.
